Vyacheslav A. Ratnikov was born in 1964 in Kharkiv region. In 1987 he graduated with honors and a gold medal from the faculty of training of doctors for the air force of the Military medical Academy. The scientific priorities of Ratnikov V. are ultrasound, computer and magnetic resonance diagnostics of a number of actual diseases, occupational diseases and especially diseases of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas.

V. A. Ratnikov is actively engaged in scientific and pedagogical work, in the period from 2008 to 2012 he was a Professor of the Department of radiology and radiotherapy of the St. Petersburg state medical Academy.
