The achievements of Professor Abugov are primarily related to the development of treatment methods for various manifestations of coronary atherosclerosis, atherosclerotic and hereditarily determined aortic disease. The author of more than 170 scientific papers on contemporary problems of x-ray surgery, published in the central medical press.
He prepared 3 doctors and more than 20 candidates of medical sciences. Annually gives about 30 lectures in the framework of Russian, European, American and World Congresses.
Professor Abugov at the Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Acad. B.V. Petrovsky and the State Budgetary Educational Institution of Continuing Professional Education The Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education prepared hundreds of cadets, residents and graduate students from all regions of the country and abroad.
Under his leadership, several dozen specialized endovascular centers of regional and federal levels were opened. His students work in most cities of the Russian Federation, near and far abroad.
