Обследованы 294 пациента (559 орбит) с эндокринной офтальмопатией. У 87 из них (174 орбиты) диагностирован тиреотоксический экзофтальм, 172 человека (343 орбиты) страдали отечным экзофтальмом (миогенный вариант диагностирован у 30 больных, липогенный – у 46, смешанный – у 96), у 35 пациентов (42 орбиты) выявлена эндокринная миопатия.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. В статье приведены показатели объема экстраокулярных мышц и орбитальной клетчатки у пациентов с различными вариантами эндокринной офтальмопатии. Детально изучены показатели плотности мышц и клетчатки в этой группе больных. Результаты исследования показывают, что увеличение объема экстраокулярных мышц выражено в значительно большей степени, чем орбитальной клетчатки, и имеет специфичные показатели для каждого варианта ЭОП.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Обнаруженные достоверные количественные различия объема мягких тканей орбиты у больных с ЭОП подтверждают целесообразность выделения трех вариантов течения ЭОП и объясняют многовариантность ее клинической картины.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Objective</title><p>Objective: to examine the state of the extraocular muscles and orbital cellular tissue of patients with different clinical forms of endocrine ophthalmopathy.</p></sec><sec><title>Material and methods</title><p>Material and methods. The study involved 294 patients (559 orbits) with endocrine ophthalmopathy. In 87 of them (174 orbits), thyrotoxic exophthalmos was diagnosed, in 172 (343 orbits) – edematous exophthalmos (with myogenic type in 30 patients, lipogenic type in 46, mixed type in 96 patients), in 35 patients (42 orbits) – endocrine myopathy.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. The article presents the volumes of extraocular muscles and orbital cellular tissue in patients with different forms of endocrine ophthalmopathy. The density of the muscles and orbital cellular tissue was studied in details in those groups of patients. The results show that increase of extraocular muscles volume is greater than increase of orbital cellular tissue volume, and have specific features for each form of endocrine ophthalmopathy.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
